The Fuel Fund of Maryland has a variety of rewarding volunteer opportunities!
On-going opportunities include:
As an Energy Advisor, you will be trained to work with limited income individuals who graduated from the Watt Watchers onsite, online and neighborhood-based programs. Energy Advisors will follow-up by phone with graduates and provide personalized energy-related guidance and counseling services.
Watt Watchers of Maryland Instructors
Watt Watchers is an educational component of the Fuel Fund of Maryland. Watt Watchers educates individuals on how to save energy and lower their bills. Volunteers are needed to teach a series of classes and survey the program. All training and materials will be provided by the Fuel Fund.
The Fuel Fund is a rapidly growing organization, certified by the Maryland Association of Nonprofits for its Standards of Excellence. Volunteer leadership on our Board of Directors and related committees are key elements to maintaining that success.
The Fuel Fund hosts small ad-hoc events throughout the year and will host its its annual 5K trail run in November 2016. Volunteers can participate in the Event Committee by helping secure sponsorships, recruit and organize event day volunteers, and help promote the event.
Support with research, social media, data entry, letter preparation and a host of other activities is always needed at our Central office in Hampden.
