Our drive is to be Maryland's leading organization dedicated to the efficient delivery of cost-effective energy assistance and energy education (Watt Watchers® workshops) for low-income households to maintain their well-being and encourage self-sufficiency.
We believe we can provide assistance to every Maryland household struggling to afford their utility bill. And there are several ways you can support us in reaching our goal and making an immediate impact in the lives of our clients.
- monthly or planned giving;
- workplace and matching gifts through your employer;
- volunteer and "friendraiser" opportunities; or
- purchases from businesses that support the Fuel Fund of Maryland.
Together we can make a difference in our neighbors' lives.
Third Party Fundraiser
Do you have a great idea on how to raise funds for the Fuel Fund?
Coordinate a third-party “friendraiser” to raise both funds and awareness with your friends, family, neighbors or co-workers!
Contact Danielle Phelps, Development Coordinator, at 410-844-3835 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
BGE Online / Dollar Donation Fund
Did you know that you can contribute to the Fuel Fund by donating through BGE?
Last year, more than 10,000 Marylanders received help from BGE donations to the Fuel Fund. Enroll in the Dollar Donation Fund and BGE will add a donation of your choice to your bill every month.
Don’t care to enroll in this program? BGE has another option for you!
You can also add an extra amount to your BGE online bill before processing the payment.
Flowers & Fancies
From October 2018 to October 2019, Flowers & Fancies will feature a flower arrangement specifically designed for the Fuel Fund of Maryland.
Through their ”BLOOMS 4 A BETTER B-MORE PROGRAM", 50% of every Fuel Fund flower arrangement sold will be donated directly to the organization!
When ordering flowers this year, please consider ordering the Fuel Fund of Maryland flower arrangement through Flowers & Fancies.
Remember that every dollar counts in helping us keep our neighbors safe and comfortable in their homes.
If your business is looking to collaborate with the Fuel Fund, contact Director of Development, Debbie Brown, at 410-844-3834.
