GIVE THE GIFT OF POWER

The Fuel Fund of Maryland depends on the generosity of many individuals, companies, foundations, organizations and religious institutions to provide financial and educational assistance and resources to more than 7,200 central Maryland households who are struggling with their utility bills in times of crisis.  Your gift truly creates a brighter (and stronger) community.

There are several ways you can support our neighbors in need such as:

  • Volunteer at our call center;
  • Monthly or planned giving;
  • Workplace and matching gifts through your employer; or
  • Purchases from businesses that support the Fuel Fund of Maryland.

Volunteers needed for our Call Center!

The Fuel Fund of Maryland is in search of friendly and personable volunteers, with a flexible weekday schedule, strong listening skills and basic computer skills to make an immediate impact in our call center between the hours of 9am – Noon. Your role will be to answer phones and direct a potential Fuel Fund client to the appropriate Bill Assistance Specialist.  You will discover first-hand how the Fuel Fund connects a household to the power they so desperately need during a time of crisis.  Give the gift of power with your time!

Orientation and training will be provided. Please email volunteer@fuelfundmaryland.org

The Fuel Fund of Maryland headquarters are located at 1800 Washington Blvd, Suite 410, Baltimore, MD  21230 – home of the former Montgomery Wards.  Parking is free!
